The Goal

Creating a “one stop App” for art seekers, presenting all the relevant and up-to-date art information.

Inspiration

Artist's are my main inspiration for the App. The idea for the user is to easily locate and view artists' works either in museums, galleries or even visit their own private studios (those that are with us of course). Wherever the user is across the globe, it allows an easy, efficient way without getting confused and frustrated with all the scattered information out there.

And many many more

So what's the problem?

Awareness is key

Many art seekers love exploring art across the world and admire the local scenes, but some don’t necessarily know or are familiar with them before digging into a long, time consuming research.

Research

There isn’t one app out there that incorporates all the relevant up-to-date local art information. Therefore I based my benchmark research on city related and experiences search platforms.

Flood of information

Planning art activities for your next trip can be a challenging task. In order to know what’s happening, the user has to scroll through several official websites and relevant articles. Sometimes an innocent Google search might lead to an outdated exhibition and a waste of precious time which leads to unnecessary frustration.

Wireframes

After completing the preliminary research, I created the wireframes of the App. My goal was to try and find the best, efficient and friendly flow in order to help the user locate all the relevant information in an quick, yet informative way.

Seek and you shall find

Search easily through a wide variety of cities across the globe and start planning your next trip, with the dedicated autocomplete search bar.

Vacation is where your art is

Once a destination has been selected, all the latest recommendations are displayed in a clear grid so that the users could easily pick the activity that fits them the most - museums, local galleries, visiting artists studios or art stores.

All in one

If the user chooses to explore one of the dedicated activity pages, he will receive all the relevant options that the city has to offer in that specific category.

Stay put

When the activity is chosen it presents the current and future exhibitions, opening hours, main highlights, ticket purchase and more. This section will update according to the selected activity and will show only the relevant and up-to-date information.

The wisdom of crowds

Unfamiliar with the local gallery? Afraid to waste time on irrelevant exhibitions that sound vague? Every user has the ability to read, rate and review all the presented activities on the platform.

Skip the lines

Making art accessible doesn't end with just presenting accurate information. If the user comes across a museum or a gallery he likes to see, he can purchase tickets in a safe and simple way in order to avoid the long lines.
